Website design for dentists and dental practices

A practice website that new patients can book from on their phone, that explains each treatment and its fee, and that shows the registration details the GDC asks for.

The short answer

Storvexa designs and builds websites for dental practices: a WordPress site from $799, delivered in 15 days, or a custom-coded site from $1,999 in about 4 weeks for practices that want more treatment pages and the fastest load times. Each site has online booking or a booking request form, a page per treatment, your NHS and private fees, and the practice details the GDC guidance lists. You pay in three steps and own the site.

What the site has to do

What a dental practice website has to do

Many patients choose a dentist on their phone, often because of one treatment or one bad tooth. These are the things that decide whether they book with you or with the next practice in the results.

  1. 01

Let a patient book without phoning

A clear "Book an appointment" on every screen. We link it to the online booking in your practice software, or build a booking request form that goes straight to reception with the treatment and preferred times already filled in.

  2. 02

    One page per treatment

Check-ups and hygiene, white fillings, implants, clear aligners, whitening, emergency appointments: each with what it involves, who it suits, how many visits it takes and what it costs. Those pages are what people find when they search for a treatment near them.

  3. 03

NHS and private, side by side

Say plainly whether you are taking new NHS patients, which treatments you offer on the NHS, what private treatment costs and whether you offer a payment plan. A patient who cannot find this calls someone else.

  1. 04

    The team, with their registrations

Real photos of the dentists, hygienists and nurses, each with their role, qualification and GDC number. Patients book people, and the GDC guidance expects these details anyway.

  2. 05

Reviews where patients can check them

Your Google rating with a link to the reviews themselves, so a new patient can read them where they were written, plus any before-and-after photos your patients have agreed to share.

  3. 06

Emergencies and directions on every page

Click-to-call, opening hours, the emergency number for out of hours, a map, parking and step-free access. A patient in pain wants the number, not the "About us" page.

What your site should show

The details UK dental websites are expected to show

Checked against the regulators' own pages. We build each of these in from the start, so a GDC or CQC check is never a scramble.

  1. §1

    GDC: practice and dentist details

The GDC's guidance on advertising says a practice website should show the practice name and the address where care is given, contact details including an email address and phone number, the GDC's address or a link to the GDC website, your complaints procedure (and who patients can go to if they are not satisfied), and the date the site was last updated. Each dental professional named needs their qualification, the country it was gained in and their GDC registration number.

  2. §2

CQC: your rating, if you have one

Practices in England are registered with the Care Quality Commission. Where the CQC has given your service a rating, regulation 20A says every website you run must show it legibly, with the date it was given, the CQC's web address and where to read the latest report.

Official source CQC · Regulation 20A
  3. §3

NHS charges: link, do not copy

NHS patients in England pay by band (Band 1, 2, 3 and urgent treatment). If you offer NHS care, you'll want to say which treatments you provide on the NHS and link to the NHS charges page rather than copying figures that go out of date.

  4. §4

    Health data in forms

A form that asks about symptoms or medical history collects health data, which UK GDPR treats as special category data. We keep booking forms to what reception needs and leave medical history to your practice software.

This is a builder's checklist, not legal or regulatory advice. Guidance changes, so check your regulator's current pages; we build the pages it asks for and make them easy for you to keep up to date.

What we build

A practice website on the platform that fits

Most practices are best served by WordPress, because the team can update prices, the team page and opening hours themselves. We tell you on the first call if something else fits better.

  • WordPress Our default

A Basic Website: up to five pages on a premium WordPress theme, with click-to-call and WhatsApp buttons, a contact or booking request form, and basic Google SEO. Room for the essentials: home, treatments, fees, team, contact.

  • Custom-coded in Astro, Next.js or React When speed and a unique design matter

A Business Website: up to eight pages designed and coded for your practice, loading in about a second, with booking or enquiry forms, full on-page SEO and your Google Business Profile set up. Suits a practice that competes on implants, aligners or cosmetic work.

  • A web app When the site runs part of the business

Online booking with deposits, a patient area or a treatment-plan calculator is software, not a page. We scope it on a free call and build it with a demo every week.

Real work, live today

The closest work we have live

We have not built a dental practice website yet, and we will not pretend otherwise. These two live sites do the jobs a practice site has to do: taking appointment requests from a phone, and booking and paying for sessions online.

  1. Cali Taxes & Notary
    Live

    Cali Taxes & Notary

A tax and notary office. Call buttons all the way down the page and "Request a time" and "Request a callback" forms that email the office, on a hand-coded Astro site where every page is static HTML.

Questions dental practices ask

Ask us anything else

Our Basic Website (WordPress, up to five pages) and Business Website (custom-coded, up to eight pages) have fixed starting prices, shown on this page in your currency. A practice that needs many treatment pages, or booking connected to its practice software, gets a written quote after a free 15-minute call. The price we agree in writing is the price you pay.

Not yet. Our live work closest to a practice is a tax and notary office that takes appointment requests from the phone, and a booking platform where clients book and pay for sessions online. The GDC and CQC points on this page were checked against the regulators' own guidance.

Yes. We either link the site to the online booking in your practice software, or build a booking request form that goes to reception by email. A booking system with deposits or a patient login is a web app, which we quote separately.

We build in every item the GDC lists for practice websites: practice name and address, phone and email, a link to the GDC, your complaints procedure, the date the site was last updated, and each professional's qualification and GDC number. You stay responsible for the content being accurate, so we make it easy to update.

On a WordPress site, yes: you get full admin access once the final payment clears. On a custom-coded site you get the full source code, and small changes are included in our monthly care plan if you would rather not touch it.

A Basic Website is delivered in 15 days and a Business Website in about four weeks. A larger site with many treatment pages is timed in the written quote, so you know the launch date before you pay anything.

Yes. The domain and hosting are bought in your name and paid directly to the provider. After the final payment you have full admin access (WordPress) or the full source code on your own Git account (custom-coded).
