What moves the price

Six things that decide the cost

Storvexa Your quote, line by line

  1. 01

    Pages and content

Five pages cost less than twenty. Writing the copy, finding photos and moving content from an old site all take time, so say up front who supplies them.

  2. 02

    Theme or custom code

A premium WordPress theme is the quickest and cheapest route. A site written in our own code costs more, loads faster and has no page-builder plugins to keep updating.

  3. 03

What the site has to do

A contact form is simple. Online booking, payments, client logins or a shop each add work, because each has to be built, tested and kept safe.

  4. 04

    Languages and markets

Every extra language means translated pages and its own search setup. Prices in more than one currency add a little more.

  5. 05

    Connections to your tools

Linking the site to a CRM, a booking calendar, an accounting tool or a payment provider is quoted per connection, after we have seen what the tool allows.

  6. 06

    Speed and search work

Basic Google setup comes with every site. Full on-page SEO, a Google Business Profile and analytics come with the custom-coded package.

The costs people forget

  1. §1

    Domain and hosting

They are paid to the provider every year. We set the site up on your own domain and hosting with free SSL, so the accounts stay in your name.

  2. §2

    Changes after launch

Ask how long changes stay free. With us it is 6 days for a Basic site and 30 days for a custom-coded one; after that, small changes are part of the care plan.

  3. §3

    Keeping it safe

Updates, backups and security checks never stop. Our care plan covers them for $49 a month, with one hour of small changes, and you can cancel any time.

  4. §4

    Words and pictures

If nobody has written the pages yet, someone has to. Agree before the start who writes them and who pays for photos.

How you pay

In three steps, tied to what you can see

For websites you pay 25% to start, 25% halfway and 50% when it is finished. Everything is in a written agreement before any work begins, and work outside it is quoted separately and only done with your approval.

  1. 25% To start
  2. 25% Halfway
  3. 50% On completion

Website cost questions

What people ask before they decide.

Ask us anything else

It can be, if it is fast, works on a phone and brings enquiries. Ask what is included: a low price that leaves out hosting setup, SSL, a contact form or changes after launch often costs more by the end.

Studios quote different things: a theme or custom code, who writes the content, how many changes are included and what happens after launch. Compare written quotes line by line, not just the total.

WordPress suits a small site you want to edit yourself, quickly and on a budget. Custom code suits a business that needs speed, its own design and features a theme cannot do well.

About 15 days for a Basic site and about 4 weeks for a custom-coded one, from the day we have the content. Web apps are delivered in stages, with a demo every week.

Not to us, unless you choose the care plan. The website itself is a one-time price; domain and hosting are paid to their providers.

Often, yes. Our Website Fix & Speed-up starts from a free audit and fixes what it finds: speed, security, broken forms and links, mobile layout and Google basics.
