Website cost guide · Ireland
How much does a website cost in Ireland?
Prices in euro, and the three things that work differently in Ireland: VAT on the quote, the Trading Online Voucher and the rules for a .ie address.
The short answer
From €739 for a small business site
For a small business in Ireland, a website of up to 5 pages on a premium WordPress theme starts at €739 with us and takes about 15 days. A custom-coded site of up to 8 pages, built in Astro, Next.js or React, starts at €1,850 and takes about 4 weeks. Fixing an existing site starts at €229, and looking after it costs €45 a month. Before you compare quotes, check whether each one includes VAT at 23%.

§1
VAT at 23%: included or on top?
The standard VAT rate in Ireland is 23%. Two quotes for the same site can look far apart only because one includes VAT and the other does not, so ask every studio whether its price includes VAT before you compare.

The Trading Online Voucher
Local Enterprise Offices have run a Trading Online Voucher for small businesses trading online: up to €2,500 and at most half of the eligible cost, for businesses with 10 or fewer employees and a turnover under €2 million. Rounds open and close and each LEO runs its own, so ask yours whether it is open, and get approval before you spend anything.

A .ie address needs proof
To register a .ie domain you show a real connection to the island of Ireland, for a business usually a CRO number or an Irish VAT number, through an accredited registrar. We set it up in your name with your documents, so the address is yours.

What moves the price
Six things that decide the cost
Storvexa Your quote, line by line
-
01
Pages and content
Five pages cost less than twenty. Writing the copy, finding photos and moving content from an old site all take time, so say up front who supplies them.
-
02
Theme or custom code
A premium WordPress theme is the quickest and cheapest route. A site written in our own code costs more, loads faster and has no page-builder plugins to keep updating.
-
03
What the site has to do
A contact form is simple. Online booking, payments, client logins or a shop each add work, because each has to be built, tested and kept safe.
-
04
Languages and markets
Every extra language means translated pages and its own search setup. Prices in more than one currency add a little more.
-
05
Connections to your tools
Linking the site to a CRM, a booking calendar, an accounting tool or a payment provider is quoted per connection, after we have seen what the tool allows.
-
06
Speed and search work
Basic Google setup comes with every site. Full on-page SEO, a Google Business Profile and analytics come with the custom-coded package.

Domain and hosting
They are paid to the provider every year. We set the site up on your own domain and hosting with free SSL, so the accounts stay in your name.
-
§2
Changes after launch
Ask how long changes stay free. With us it is 6 days for a Basic site and 30 days for a custom-coded one; after that, small changes are part of the care plan.
-
§3
Keeping it safe
Updates, backups and security checks never stop. Our care plan covers them for €45 a month, with one hour of small changes, and you can cancel any time.
-
§4
Words and pictures
If nobody has written the pages yet, someone has to. Agree before the start who writes them and who pays for photos.
